Dr. Anwar M. Ibrahim has been studying the human body, natural therapy techniques, and holistic methods for over a decade. He began his educational career with a BA in Psychology from the University of the Pacific in Stockton California. While attending (UOP) his psychology emphasis was in behavioral psychology. Doctor Ibrahim knew there was more to healing than just the mind and was not satisfied with psychology alone.
Anwar began studying natural medicine and developed the understanding of taking the Wholistic approach to viewing the body. Anwar’s passion for many years was cupping therapy. Cupping therapy gravitated him towards, the need to know the meridians on the body, understanding the acupuncture points, and learning Traditional Chinese Medicine. This interest in Eastern Medicine lead him to studying TCM under the guidance of Dr. Du for over 4 years. Dr. Ibrahim appreciated that the Chinese hold one of the first systems for caring for the body in a holistic way.
In America, Naturopathy holds a similar approach to helping the body with various imbalances and illnesses. Anwar became very interested in Naturopathy and began studying the naturopathic approach. Anwar completed his doctorate in Naturopathy and later became a nationally board certified Traditional Naturopath or Doctor of Natural Medicine.
Not all Naturopath’s and Holistic Health Practitioners are equal in education and training. Dr. Ibrahim is a seeker of knowledge, has studied many methods from multiple sources and schools, and has pushed to be a leader in his field. Anwar believes in being completely open with is educational background and is happy to share his: accomplishments, certifications, educational path, and associations, thus far.
